Do I have any followers interested and skilled in web development?

If so, please message me. :)

The "Milso" Network

To my milso followers. If you don’t already follow this blog, you should. I’m a member and I really want the blog to be able to become more interactive so we can expand our milso friend group (it’d also be awesome to maybe meet some people that are around my husband’s base, maybe you feel similarly?). So if you’re interested in getting to know more people in a similar situation to you, consider checking it out. I know for me, it’s much easier to talk to my military s/o friends about my relationship with my husband than others.

My brother made this for his pinewood derby for the boy scouts. He made it to honor Martin Richard. If you don’t remember, Martin was killed in the Boston Bombing. I am so proud of my brother. This is what my dad wrote about the photo:

Jacob’s tribute to Martin Richard. Jacob is the same age as Martin was when he was murdered. Jacob is going to receive his first communion this year. We thought it would be nice to remember Martin during the pinewood derby. Even though we never meet Martin we feel close to him. We have faith that Martin is in the Lords hands and looks smiling on us. We pray that Martin’s family may find peace. God bless them and watch over them.

If you don’t remember who Martin Richard was or never heard about him, click here. RIP.

Posted to my blogspot.

You could run from someone you feared, you could try to fight someone you hated. All my reactions were geared toward those kinds of killers – the monsters, the enemies. When you loved the one who was killing you, it left you no options. How could you run, how could you fight, when doing so would hurt that beloved one? If your life was all you had to give your beloved, how could you not give it? If it was someone you truly loved?

Leave it to corey to mess up hanburger helper :p that’s okay though we’ll fix it

One of the first times I cooked for Gilbert was while we were travelling from California to Florida. We bought “easy to make” stuff such as hamburger helper to cook in the hotels. Needless to say, I burnt it. Luckily, my skills have greatly improved over the years, but I’ll never forget that I ruined hamburger helper, for shame!!!

Date night with my hubs! :) Hope everyone’s having a wonderful Saturday <3

Update! At work today I made the game “Guess Who?”. I came into work at 9 am and my boss laid games on the table and said, “today, you’re going to code one of these” and I went on my merry way. By 6 pm I had a fully functional game and I was working on some sort of graphical interface, nothing fancy. I’d say it was a successful day.

One more day until Friday everyone, we can make it! :D

My first day at my internship was interesting and fun (for the most part, other than when I spent 4-5 hours reading about Java, haha). All I know is, a “Full Time Job” is really freaking hard, especially when it takes this much brain power. Now, just relaxing with my hubby. Can’t wait to get the new camera and take pictures of our life together :) Hope everyone’s having a great week!
